Sunday Evening Performing Arts Summer Concert Series

Performing Arts at the Common Sunday Evenings
Sponsored by the Town of Clifton Park and Twin Bridges Recycling & Waste
Concerts at 7:00 p.m. and Musical at 8:00 p.m.

June 26 - Clifton Park Community Chorus
An energetic, fun-loving multigenerational group singing seasonal songs to show tunes, classic to contemporary, toetapping to tender, melodious and memorable.
July 3 - Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra

Performing since 1980, this 12 piece orchestra is led by the Bronx-born bassist Alex Torres. They perform their original blend of Afro-Caribbean rhythms such as Salsa,
Merengue, Cha-cha, Bomba, Plena and Latin Jazz.
July 10 - Stormfront
A Tribute to the musical genius of Billy Joel, no other comes closer to recreating the sounds of Billy Joel. Their show consists of playing hit after hit of Joel’s musical
catalogue with acute accuracy, keeping you singing all night long!
July 17 - Erin Harkes Band
A wonderful mix of covers and originals. Erin’s lyrics tell stories of her life, sung through a big voice that’s often compared to Janis Joplin. Hearing Erin sing is a powerful
experience that grabs anyone within earshot!
July 22 - 24 &  Nice Work If You Can Get It
July 28 - 31

Set in the 1920s, this is the story of a charming and wealthy playboy who meets a rough
female bootlegger the weekend of his wedding. Add some alcohol hidden in the basement of a Long Island mansion during prohibition, all leading to hijinks galore.
Performance by Not So Common Players.
August 7 - An Evening with Rick Bedrosian
A night with Rick on guitar, singing and telling stories about his decades of musical experiences, Sing along with your favorite tunes from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, Hair of The Dog, Beatles classics, and a whole lot more!
August 14 - Jukebox Rebellion
Prepare to be blown away by the Capital Region’s hottest new dance party band, bringing a whole new level of entertainment and production.

Wednesday Evening Children's Performing Arts Summer Concert Series
All performances at Clifton Common Stage (next to basketball courts and Clifton Park Senior Community Center.)  Performances begin at 7:00 p.m. rain or shine. Lawn chairs are welcome and refreshments free courtesy of Starpoint Church.

July 20 - The Magic Trunk
Laugh and have fun with Sylvia and her musical comedy show, that is sure to keep smiles on everyone’s faces!
July 27 - Andy the Music Man
Andy mingles traditional and original songs and novelty, delighting and involving kids through sing-a-longs, dancing, play-acting and storytelling.
August 3 - Mr. Twisty Magic Show
Mr. Twisty’s Super Silly Magic Show is a high-energy show that is jam packed with lots of magic, slap-stick comedy and tons of audience participation.
August 10 - Youth Band Performances
Come check out the amazing talent of local youth musicians coming from Modern Day Music’s Rock Band program!
August 17 - Catskills Puppet Theater “The Town that Fought Hate”
Based upon award-winning children’s book, The Christmas Menorahs: How a Town Fought Hate, the play recounts the true story of how people of all faiths and races came together in the town of Billings, Montana to successfully fight a group of haters. Features original music, almost life-size puppets and shadow puppets, and more than a few theatrical surprises. First and foremost great entertainment for young and old, it also gently imparts some timeless life lessons including the importance of standing up to bullies.

UPDATE: Bus Trip to Erie Canal Museum and Camillus Erie Canal Park CANCELLED

Due to low enrollment, the Town has been forced to cancel the trip to Syracuse and the Erie Canal Museum. If you have already paid for a reservation your will receive a full refund on your credit card within the next few days. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact the Parks, Recreation and Community Affairs Office at 518-371-6667.

An Evening with The Tavern Jammers - June 3, 2022 at 7PM

Join us for a special evening of music at Historic Grooms Tavern.  The Tavern Jammers will bring back a bit of the past, playing familiar songs to young and old.  Come listen and join them in an evening of singing the gentle music of Bluegrass.  This event is free and open to the public.
