The Town Information Specialist is responsible for writing press releases and coordinating with members of the media and town officials, developing web content, exhibit designs, booklets, pamphlets, flyers and articles for public distribution, designing and publishing town initiatives and departmental announcements, and collecting, assembling and compiling information on internal and external activities.
This office will additionally head special projects designated by the Town Supervisor and Town Board as well as work with Department Heads to ensure the successful implementation of internal, external and community projects.
Per Governor Cuomo's Executive Order, the Executive Order 203 Compliance Group was appointed at the October 2020 Board of Supervisors meeting by Chairman Allen. This Group has been charged with reviewing Sheriff’s Office policies and procedures, and offering recommendations based on feedback from members of the community in areas including, but not limited to, community-based outreach and conflict resolution, violence prevention and reduction, bias awareness and training, and mental health and addictions services alternatives.
