The Assessor is responsible for (1) creating an equitable assessment roll to be used to raise revenue to satisfy the Town, County, and School property tax levy; (2) satisfying the taxpaying public's questions regarding their involvement and responsibility as it pertains to their property assessments and tax bills; (3) qualification of all real property tax exemptions; (4) valuation of all new construction and demolition; and (5) coordinate tax bills with the Town Tax Collector.

DATE FOR FILING OF COMPLAINTS:
Due to the present COVID-19 pandemic, hearings before the Board of Assessment Review will be held in-person or remotely by telephone conference call by appointment only. Please contact the Assessor’s Office at (518) 371-6460 to schedule an appointment for a hearing. Instructions to participate in the remote hearing of the Board of Assessment Review will be provided when the appointment is made. Instructions to allow the public to listen to the hearings of the Board of Assessment Review will be provided on the Town of Clifton Park’s website at https://www.cliftonpark.org/ on or before May 25, 2021.
The complaint form for Grievance Day should be mailed or delivered to the Assessor’s Office on or before Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The complaint form can be mailed to Clifton Park Assessor’s Office, 1 Town Hall Plaza, Clifton Park, NY 12065. The Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on Monday through Thursday, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, beginning May 1st through May 24th. He will also be in attendance on Monday May 10th between the hours of 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, May 8th, between 9:00am to 1:00pm.
The Tentative Assessment Roll will be published on May 1st and available to the public via https://cliftonpark.org/ with the link on the homepage.
The State Equalization Rate is 51.00%.
