Clifton Park Town Pools 2010


There are three municipal pools in the Clifton Park community which have hosted thousands of families for over 15 years. The pools are used for recreational, athletic and social events for all ages. They provide a place for meeting and making friends. All the pools offer a large main pool, a diving area, a separate "kiddy" pool for young children and comfortable outdoor chairs. Membership is available on a first come, first served basis to all area residents and includes unlimited visits to all three facilities, all season long. Applications can be submitted online, by mail or in person at Town Hall's Office of Parks, Recreation and Community Affairs. Membership applications will not be accepted at the pools. All members (except children 3 and under) must have a photo ID taken after joining. You must have a new ID picture taken each year. Photos will be taken at the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, May 19 ~ 5 p.m.- 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 22 ~ 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 29 ~ 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

The Country Knolls and Barney Road pools will be open daily from Sunday, May 30 through Monday, September 6. The Locust Lane Pool will be open weekends beginning May 30 and will begin daily operation in mid-June and be open through Labor Day. The pools open at noon and close dependent on weather and sunset.

2010 General Information and Policies

1. Barney Road and Locust Lane Pools, owned and operated by the Town of Clifton Park, are located in the Clifton Knolls development. The Country Knolls Pool, owned by the Longkill I Park District and operated by the Town of Clifton Park, is located on Burning Bush Boulevard; off Ushers Road.

2. Membership Rates:

  • Individual: $120
  • Couple: $190
  • Family: $255
  • Children 3 or under are free when a parent is a member.
  • A "Couple" membership can be any two related individuals over the age of 3 living permanently in the same household.
  • If you have a baby-sitter there will be a $55 additional cost to add him or her to your membership.
3. Guest Policy
Members may bring a non-member guest to the pools for a daily fee of $3.00 per person. A member may only bring local guests (who reside in Clifton Park, Rexford or Ballston Lake mailing area) on three occasions during the season and only to the member's primary pool. There is no limit on out of the area guests. The guest must also have identification.

4. Applications for membership can be submitted on line, by mail or in person. Applications will be accepted at Town Hall (corner of Clifton Park Center & Vischer Ferry Road). Department of Parks & Recreation, Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Membership is on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will not be accepted in the pools.

5. All members (except children under 4) must have a photo ID taken after joining. This photo ID is required for admission.

6. Photo ID - A new ID is required each year. Applications must be processed before photo IDs can be taken or updated. If mailing application, allow 3 days for processing before arriving for photo. Prior to opening day, ID photos for members of Barney Road and Locust Lane Pools will be taken at the Locust Lane Clubhouse. ID photos for members of the Country Knolls Pool will be taken at the Country Knolls Pool Clubhouse.

Members are encouraged to have photos taken prior to pool opening.

7. Once a pool membership is registered at the pool site, member's primary pool location cannot be changed.

8. There is a "No Refund" policy on pool memberships and no partial fees of membership.
