Arbor Day Celebration -
Each year the Town sponsors a poster contest. The Poster Contest is
open to children in grades K through 5 who live in Clifton Park or
attend Shenendehowa Schools. Prizes are awarded at Town Hall.
The "Plant a Tree for the Newborn" program is offered to parents of
children born between Arbor Day last year and Arbor Day of the
current year (Arbor Day is always the last Friday in April). Parents
can register their baby for a "birth" tree (seedling tree), which
the office of Parks, Recreation and Community Affairs will give to
parents the week after Arbor for planting on their property.
