- First Friday - "Fall Colors…from a Different Perspective"

Join us for a presentation by David Behm, a Clifton Park resident who is a self-taught naturalist and amateur photographer. His color slide presentation will illustrate a surprising palette of colors and hues annually displayed by more than 150 species of forbs (those plants that are not trees, shrubs or grasses) that we often overlook while leaf-peeping at our woodlands each autumn.

- Beaded Bookmark Making - Ages 10 and up

No need to spend lots of money on a unique gift this year – handmade gifts are priceless! Come join us for a fun afternoon making your very own personalized beaded bookmark! Make one for yourself or as a gift. There will be a variety of colored beads and themed charms to make your bookmark a one-of-a-kind! All materials are included. Please bring a small towel and any tools you may have.

- First Friday - Barbie Collection Spectacular!
Date: 12/3/2010 Time: 3:00p.m. - 7:00p.m.

Join us for a special Barbie event, where fans of all ages can view over 300 Barbie dolls, Kelly dolls and related collectibles. Display themes will include International, TV Star, Wizard of Oz, Wedgewood, Native American, Audrey Hepburn and Super Heroes & Villains. In addition, there will be fun activities for kids and snacks. Young Barbie fans may bring their favorite Barbie to enjoy in the play area plus there will be a Barbie Fashion show (so bring your trendiest outfit!). One lucky fan will go home with a Barbie door prize!

- First Friday - Genealogy 101

So Who Do You Think You Are? Learn how to discover your roots in this beginning genealogy workshop hosted by Clifton Park Town Historian John Scherer. Get started collecting family history and learn how to gather and organize family information for further research. Various charts for recording family history will be provided and sources for further research including local and internet genealogical resources will be explored.

- Winter Wonderland Recreation Camp
Date: February 22-25, 2011 Registration begins January 3, 2011
Fee: $40
This camp will be offered to Clifton Park residents ages 5-10. Children must be 5 by January 1, 2011.
Do your kids miss summer camp during the winter? We may not be able to provide the warm weather, but we can bring everything else! Join us during school vacation week for our Winter Wonderland rec camp for children ages 5-10. Activities will include create a bear, games, crafts, karaoke and snowman-building, weather permitting. We may even have a clown or magician stop by!

- First Friday - Rexford’s Little Coney Island
Date: 3/4/2011 Time: 7:00p.m.

Few remember that Rexford was the home of an active Amusement Park from 1906 to 1935. Exciting rides such as the roller coaster, merry-go-round, chute the chutes and airplane swing ride thrilled the young and old alike. Such colorful characters as the Amazing Oliver provided live entertainment in a pre-TV world. Relive the heyday of the Rexford Amusement Park through a colorful power point program presented by Clifton Park Town Historian John Scherer.
