Only circumstances which cannot be reasonably controlled are accepted as justification for absence. Being busy is no excuse, for all Rotarians are busy persons.

I. A member must maintain an average of at lest 60% in order to avoid the possibility of having his/her membership terminated.
II. Excused absences and illnesses - Written Application should be made to the board of directors if a member feels he/she has good and sufficient reason to be excused.
III. Make-ups - missed meetings may be made up by attendance at another club's meeting anytime prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting but after the last regularly scheduled meeting. The make-up card should be forwarded by the visiting club or member to the club secretary, Box 41, Clifton Park, NY 12065 or presented to the club secretary at the next regularly scheduled meeting. The secretary must have all make-ups for a given month in order to report the club's attendance to the District Governor before the 10th of the following month.
