Sweet Holiday Gifts!
"A Cool Way to Give Out Your Holiday Treats"

You'll Need:
- Construction Paper, or Decorative Paper (Not wrapping paper, it is not sturdy enough)
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Chocolate Coins, Peppermint Candy, or your favorite kind of holiday treat
- Crayons, Markers, Stamps, Glitter, Glue
- Colorful Fabric Ribbon
- Hole Punch

What to Do:
With a ruler, measure a triangle that is 8 inches long on all sides. (This is called an equilateral triangle because all of the points have the same angle.) Use the triangle that we made as an example if you need any help. Carefully cut out the triangle (Have an adult help you if you are using thick paper.)

Fold the points of your triangle toward the center so that the point touches the opposite side (the flat side) of the triangle. When you are finished, the middle of the triangle should be a smaller version of the one you cut out.

Flip over, decorate however you like with crayons, markers or glitter. You can even cut out pictures and paste them on the outside. Punch a hole at each corner of the paper. Flip triangle over so the points are in the air.

Place candy or treat in the center triangle. Thread ribbon through the holes, pull corners together and tie the ribbon carefully so you don't rip the paper.

If you are making ornaments, make sure ribbon is long enough to make a loop for hanging.
