What You Need:
- scissors
- paint brush
- glue gun
- turquoise leather cord - 39” long
- pony bead
- flower shaped woodsie
- red acrylic paint
- yellow acrylic paint
- newspapers
- tacky glue
Instructions:
Cover your work surface with newspaper. Paint one side of the
wood flower yellow. Let dry. Paint the other side and the
edges of the wood flower yellow. Let dry. Dip the tip of the
handle on the brush in the red paint. Blot it off slightly on a
piece of paper towel. Press the tip with the red paint to the center
of the yellow flower. Slide the pony bead on one end of the
leather cord. Measure the leather cord by wrapping it around
your neck, adjusting the pony bead to the center and pulling the
cord up or down according to where you want the bead to hang. This
depends on whether you want it to be a choker or a short or long
hanging necklace. Cut the piece of cord to the length you want.
When the wood flower is dry, arrange it on the front of the pony
bead. Lift it up and using either hot glue or tacky glue; attach it
to the front of the pony bead. Hold it in place briefly until
secure. Keep in mind if you are using tacky glue the drying time
will be longer. You may want to clamp the flower in place with a
clothespin or mini clamp until the glue is dry.
