About Job Assist

JobAssist is a FREE program serving youths aged 13 – 18 residing in the towns of Clifton Park and Halfmoon.

JobAssist is a Job Referral and Matching service, and does not provide Job Placement. That means teens are contacted with information on Job Opportunities and provided with assistance in filling out applications and interviewing. The teen must contact the employer on his/her own and set up an interview to start the hiring process. All contracts and payments are between the youth and the employer.

Teen Applications and Job Posting Forms may be filled out online, downloaded and printed out, or picked up @ the Town Hall of Clifton Park, the Town Hall of Halfmoon, Shenendehowa Guidance Offices, or the CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services Main Office – located off Rt. 146 in the back of the Public Safety Building.

American Red Cross Babysitting Certification Classes will be offered at a discounted rate to encourage teens of all income levels to participate. Those interested may inquire about upcoming classes and sign up with the JobAssist Coordinator @ 371-1185, or Email Us. Upon completion, the teen will become an American Red Cross Babysitter with Certification in Infant and Child CPR. The Teen’s name will be added to a babysitting resource list available to the community.
