Special Collection Day for Household Hazardous Waste FAQ's

Q. I have a microwave and an electric lawnmower will I be able to bring these to the event?
A. NO those items should be saved for the bulk waste pick-ups in the weeks following Hazardous
Waste Day. Clifton Park residents will receive a letter stating what week your neighborhood is scheduled
for pick up.
Q. I forgot my registration time and/or number can I still participate?
A. YES - you can call Town Hall to find out your assigned time and number 371-6651 x 215.
Q. I dont have an email address for the online registration can I still register?
A. YES - you will need to fill out a paper copy of the registration and return it to Town
Hall by mail or in person. These forms are available at Town Hall, the transfer station, and the
Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library.
Q. What about gas grills and propane tanks?
A. YES propane tanks from either small or large gas grills will be accepted,
however the grill itself is not allowed.
Q. I cant make the exact time I was assigned what do I do?
A. With such large numbers of participants, we have allowed for minimal leeway in
the arrival times. Please make an effort to arrive as close as possible to your assigned time.
Q. My neighbor wants to combine his items with mine, is that ok?
A. YES You can register separately or combine items on one registration form.
Q. I forgot that I have something else to do that day, can I change my time?
A. In extreme circumstances, the Special Collections Day committee will be able to make
changes. Please call Town Hall for more info 371-6651 x 215.
Q. What is the charge for this service?
A. NONE This is a FREE service provided by the Town of
Clifton Park to better serve its residents.
