Mission Statement

The mission of the Dollars for Scholars, Shenendehowa Chapter is to mobilize our community (individuals, civic organizations, businesses, corporations and foundations) to encourage education beyond high school by providing scholarship assistance to residents of the Shenendehowa School District.

Shenendehowa DFS offers the following:
     An established local and national reputation
     Security of assets for endowed scholarships
     Yearly fundraising activities to expand the number of scholarships
     Locally available representatives from the school/community
     Affiliation with national colleges/universities, some with matching funds
     Efficient, fair application process with established due dates
     Clearly defined evaluation process
     Convenient local web site with information for applicants and families
     Recognition of recipients on web site and in area award programs
     Memorial Scholarship section on web site (picture/biography)
     Commitment to addressing wishes of those offering scholarships
     Flexibility in the types of scholarships
     Scholarships for a broader range of student abilities/talents
