Library books about Home Schooling
The following list is the result of a computer search of the Southern Adirondack Library System (SALS)/Mohawk Valley Library Association (MVLA) under the subject "home schooling." Following the copyright date is a list of libraries that own copies of the books. The comments after that are just helpful hints from someone who has read the books. Please note that there are many good homeschooling books that are not owned by any of our libraries. You can find these titles in many homeschooling catalogs.
If a book is owned by a library that is inconvenient for you, it is very easy to put in an inter-library loan request; any librarian can help you do this.
Please note: the entire list of "home schooling" books owned by our libraries was too long for this page (54 titles!), so this is just a sampling. Most libraries have terminals available for you to use, and you can dial the library's computer with your modem at 583-0101.
SALS covers Hamilton, Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties. MVLA covers Fulton, Montgomery, Schenectady and Schoharie counties.
