Knolls Swim Club

CODE OF CONDUCT FORM
SUMMER 2011

Due to the large number of swimmers and divers on our team, it is crucial that the environment be a positive one in order for the team to run smoothly.  Appropriate behavior and respect for coaches and fellow swimmers is expected from each member of the team.  The behavior of each member strongly affects the team as a whole.  These standards of behavior must be maintained before, during and after all practice sessions, swim meets or other team gatherings.

Inappropriate behavior would include, but not be limited to the following:

 1.   Talking while the coaches are giving instructions.

 2.      Failure to comply with requests or instructions from coaches or other adults.

 3.   Damaging or mistreating other people’s property.

 4.   Use of offensive language.

 5.   Involvement in any illegal activity.

Inappropriate behavior or negative behavior will be addressed in the following manner:

1st Offense:    Swimmer/diver will receive a warning to cease inappropriate behavior.

2nd Offense:   Swimmer/diver will not be permitted to return to practice until there has

been a meeting between the coaching staff, the swimmer/diver,  and the

                         swimmer/diver’s parents or guardians.

3rd Offense:   Swimmer/diver will not be permitted to return to the team.

I promise to comply with the Knolls Swim Club Code of Conduct, and I understand that failure to do so could ultimately result in my dismissal from the team.
