We are a non-denominational Christian group who meet to fellowship and discuss Christian related news topics and share scripture. You need not be in law enforcement to attend our meetings, any first responders are welcome.
Who Are We?
The Capital Region Cops for Christ are made up by members of law enforcement and the first responder community. We are Faithful God loving, God Fearing, and Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ. We read and study the Bible faithfully.. It has impacted our lives (Heb. 4:12), and we want to share the same comfort we received from God, with you (2 Cor. 1:4)! We are open minded, we are not into religion, we will not force you to believe anything, we will share with you what God’s Word says about the Body of Christ (which is the church), which Jesus died for. (Eph. 1:23) We are moved to help you to have a closer relationship with God through Christ Jesus (Acts 20:24).
Why Study?
Some police officers and civilians are not sure that there is a God, or even if the Bible is God’s Word. But the Bible says that God wants to have a close relationship with you. James 4:8 says, “Draw close to God and God will draw close to you.” God is Love – 1 John 4:8. Some people ask, then why is there so much suffering. Believe it or not, but God does not cause suffering (James 1:13). Over time we will talk about suffering and how God promises to undo all of the damage. (1 John 3:8) You might think that God can never forgive you, but the Bible teaches that God is a God of Mercy, and if you turn to Him. He is ready to forgive you. (Ps. 86:5)
God Loves You!
Many police officers and civilians who have come to know God have struggled through oppression, addictions, abuse, failed marriage, loneliness, persecution and much more. These individuals broke free, and you can too! Ps.55:22 says, “Give your burdens to God, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. If we follow God and Trust Him, we cannot be shaken because He will always be with us and right beside us (Ps.16:8). God wants to be our Father and He wants the best for us (Jer. 29:11). In God you will find True happiness forever. Matt. 7:7 says, “Keep asking and you will receive”.
We don’t have the answers, but we know who does!
